ENTHUSIAST OF ALL

Continuing with my recap of the decade’s best music, I’ve decided to feature the 100 top songs that have been created since 2000. This includes any song on any album, regardless of whether or not it was released as a single. I’m all out of time, so instead of doing a write-up of each song, I’m posting a simple list, with the top ten songs in order and the rest in alphabetical order by artist. A few caveats: While a band can have multiple songs on this list, I only allowed one song per album for the sake of breadth (otherwise Radiohead might have dominated a third of the list, and that’s no fun.) Also, these songs are what I consider to be the “best” pure “songs” of the decade, but not necessarily my favorites, if that makes any sense.( For example, my favorite song on Portishead’s Third is “We Carry On”, but I’d argue that the best song on that album from a construction and value aspect is “The Rip.” You get the idea.)  Anyway, on with the list:
